The term ‘W and M Smith’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is The Pightle Barn, Blacksmiths Lane, Middlewood Green, Stowmarket. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Please take into consideration that W and M Smith is also a Cash and Carry, therefore, if staff are busy with customers in the warehouse or with a delivery it may delay your Order.
The prices shown for all goods and carriage are subject to the addition of VAT at the appropriate rate.
3. Carriage Charges
3.1 Orders worth less than £150 for delivery within the UK on Monday to Friday inclusive, will have the following charges added to the Order :-
Up to £15
Up to £75
Up to £100
Up to £150
3.2 A requested overnight weekday delivery will attract a further charge of £10 additional to the normal carriage charge.
3.3 A delivery requested for a Saturday will attract a further charge of £20 additional to the normal carriage charge.
3.4 The Order for a requested delivery ( see par 3.2 and 3.3) must be received before 10.00am on the day before the delivery is required.
3.5 Deliveries are not available on a Sunday or Bank Holiday.
3.6 Please contact us for delivery charges outside the UK before placing an Order.
NOTE The Order Values and Carriage Charges shown are before the addition of VAT
4. Cancellation and Returns
4.1 Once an Order has been placed it may not be cancelled or amended without prior permission of W & M Smith.
4.2 No goods are sold on a ‘sale or return’ basis and we will not credit for goods bought incorrectly.
4.3 No returns will be accepted arising from an error on behalf of the Purchaser.
4.4 W & M Smith may agree to accept return of goods at their sole discretion but in doing so will levy a 20% handling charge.
4.5 All transport costs incurred for returning goods will be covered by the customer.
4.6 You must be there to sign for the delivery of the Order so please give an address at which you will be present. If the Order is sent back to W and M Smith there will be another carriage charge to send it back to you.
5.1 The carriers are to be notified, at the time of delivery, of any goods received damaged. Damaged goods must be signed for as ‘damaged’ otherwise no claim can be accepted. Apart from such notification of damage, all communication with the carrier must be conducted through W & M Smith.
5.2 Damage to postal deliveries must be reported to W & M Smith within seven days of receipt.
5.3 It should be noted that we are not insured with couriers for sending glass or ceramics.
6.1 W & M Smith shall not be liable for any shortage of quantity of goods delivered unless a claim in writing is lodged with them within seven days of the date of delivery of the goods.
6.2 W & M Smith will not be liable for any defect in quality, condition or fitness for purpose of the goods nor failure to comply with specification sample or description unless a claim in writing is lodged with them within ten days of delivery of the goods.
6.3 It shall be the responsibility of the Purchasers, at all times, to satisfy themselves as to the suitability, or otherwise, of the goods purchased.
6.4 In no circumstances shall W & M Smith be liable for consequential damages howsoever arising.
6.5 Certain items are sharp or contain substances to be used with care. No liability will be accepted for misuse.
